Record number of people rescued in 2011 by north of England RNLI lifeboat crews

21/11/11 – 11:05 Service Call 45/11

RNLI Inshore lifeboat Hylton Burdon was launched to reports a small fishing boat had suffered engine failure just North of St Marys Lighthouse, Whitley Bay.  The lifeboat quickly located the small fishing boat, established a tow and returned the boat to the harbour at Seaton Sluice.
