Relief Lifeboat B815 “Peterborough Beer Festival III” launched to the assistance of a small pleasure craft that had run aground at Whitley Bay. The boat had run aground at 08:30am and was waiting for the high tide to refloat herself. The lifeboat crew checked the vessel over as the tide came in and offered to tow the boat back to North Shields as her propeller was damaged.
