Cullercoats RNLI lifeboat Hylton Burdon launched to the assistance of the motor cruiser “Petty Longo” which had a fouled propeller. The vessel was half a mile off shore in the area of Whitley bay. The crew quickly located the vessel, placed a crew member on the “Petty Longo” and a tow was established.
